The Lord Delivers Us
Here in Psalm 6 we see David in the depths of despair. His situation seems both hopeless and helpless. He is under persecution and he grasps there he is under God’s discipline. His response is to turn to The LORD to ask him to deliver him. In fact he does this with confidence. And yet, despite his circumstances not changing and his weariness continuing, he knows that the LORD will deliver him. As one chosen by God, he hears our prayer and he hears our plea and he is the one who delivers.
