Why does God take so long to end suffering?

Think about it.

If God ended all evil right now, what would no longer exist? Who would no longer exist?

Would you?

Read Romans 3:10-12. According to these verses, who is ‘evil’?

As it is written:

“There is no one righteous, not even one;
11     there is no one who understands;
    there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
    they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
    not even one.”

Romans 3:10-12

If God ended all evil right now, it would be the end of you and me.

But now read 2 Peter 3:9.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

1.) Why hasn’t God put an end to you and me?

2.) What does he want us to do?

3.) Have you done that? Why/why not?
