Matthew 27:27-44 - The Cause of the Cross

The moment has finally come: Jesus now faces the crucifixion he's been focused on for so long. It's  a harrowing scene. But part of what draws us in, perhaps, is that we see ourselves in this scene. What if we are like the soldiers, religious leaders and criminals that mock him - even kill him? As we'll see, our sinful deeds caused Jesus' shameful death. And the more we sit with that reality, the more thankful we'll be for what Jesus has done.
